About this talk

It’s a good time to think about how accelerating edge AI, or more specifically deep learning inference, can help the world. What specific ways are AI technologies already being put to good use? And what are the main technology or development obstacles in the way? In this talk, Gary will present Intel’s vantage point as a leading supplier of edge AI inference technology for various applications from manufacturing and public safety to aerospace and robotics. We’ll take a look at some very recent examples of how solving some key problems – such as silicon compute efficiency – can be put to use whether keeping indoor environments clean from Coronavirus, helping preserve the populations of endangered species, or sensing the world from space.

We’ll also review some key aspects of today’s edge AI inference silicon platforms, as well as the software and web-based tools that allow for convenient prototyping and development, that fuel some of the most useful and interesting applications. This talk should be interesting for both business management as well as technology experts and developers.
